When used autonomously, the MVT RF mpeg-2 encoders head unit accepts inputs at 70MHz, L-band or SHF and includes full front panel control of power and frequency via a large LCD display with 0 to 90 degree viewing angle. Connection to the MVT control unit is via standard camera triax up to 200m in length and when connected, vsat systems the RF head unit becomes slave. The MVT control unit has an integral DVB specification MPEG-2 4:2:0 / 4:2:2 encoder and QPSK or optionally QPSK/8PSK/16QAM modulator. The front panel provides mpeg-2 encoders comprehensive intuitive control of all encoder/modulator satellite antenna manufacturers functions plus master control of the MVT RF head unit. MVT series transmitters are designed without compromise for mobile use in harsh climates, so output making satellite newsgathering it a Digital Video Exciter. To complete the system we are happy to provide ancillaries such as test and monitoring packs and add on SCPC communications satellite antennas channels etc. Flight cases are manufactured from carbon fibre and Teflon coated driveaway systems aluminium to match FA series antennas and protected from superficial, cosmetic damage by heavy-duty padded canvas bags. Standard case types include boxes for transportation of MVT-RF head units or other outdoor equipment and 19” rack mount cases with removable front and back panels for installation of MVT control units, IRD’s, dsng systems communications equipment etc. These can be supplied in any size from 2RU to 8RU. Our highly experienced systems engineering department is able to flyaway systems tackle virtually any mobile or fixed satellite communications project. We are happy to provide a turnkey, solution using our own products plus those of satellite equipment manufacturers specialist third party vendors.
