GigaSat on top of the World

GigaSat, part of the Giga-Group organisation,  a leading supplier of specialist satellite systems to the media and broadcast industries, is pleased to announce that its world class FA-180 1.8m flyaway DSNG terminal has operated faultlessly from a plateau at 3,900m (12,825ft) near to Everest's base camp.
 
Nepal Television (NTV) utilised the superior FA-180 for live transmission of a Nepalese cabinet meeting to raise awareness of the effects of climate change. The system operated faultlessly for the duration of the meeting, during which some ministers had to wear oxygen masks to help them breathe in the thin air.
