New Fly/Drive Antennas a Trade Show Success

GigaSat is pleased to announce the simultaneous introduction of FD-120 (1.2m) and FD-180 (1.8m) fly/drive antennas after touring a pair of pre production prototypes to the Cabsat show in Dubai, then on to the Satellite Show in Washington culminating in an appearance at the NAB show in Las Vegas.  

These exciting new antenna products further expand the company’s already extensive portfolio and at all three shows the slick attention to detail and user friendly packaging were widely admired by potential customers and competitors alike.  

The FD-120 and FD-180 antennas are designed specifically to offer all the convenience of a fully automated vehicle mounted drive-away antenna with the added flexibility of also being a flyaway antenna. The FD-120 packs in 2 wheeled carbon fibre cases and the FD-180 packs in 3 wheeled carbon fibre cases, each weighing less than 32kgs and each, fully compliant to IATA requirements, which state maximum dimensions of height 22 in (56 cm), width 18 in (45 cm) and depth 10 in (25 cm) and total maximum of 62 in (158cm) for the three sides added together.  Some other manufacturers fly/drive antennas claiming to be IATA compliant, do not meet these important dimensional requirements.

Following unprecedented demand GigaSat is currently busy building the first production batches of 20 off each antenna size and deliveries are scheduled to commence in early June.
