Driveaway Antennas

GigaSat driveaway antennas are available in a comprehensive range of sizes including 1.0m (DA-100), 1.5m (DA-150), 1.8m (DA-180) and 2.4m (DA-240) and our innovative cartridge feed arrangement allows them all to be quickly configured for operation in C, X, Ku, DBS and Ka frequency bands.


DA series antennas are innovatively designed with minimum weight and ultra low profile, minimum drag coefficient construction. This makes them simple to install with little or no specialist coach building on most vehicles and avoids upsetting the original driving characteristics.

An integrated equipment pod, which fully encloses the antenna when stowed, provides a secure mounting position for amplifiers and upconverters. This creates extra space and reduces noise and heat inside the vehicle whilst minimising losses between the HPA and the antenna interface.

The smallest antenna in the range, DA-100 is offered with a fly/drive option in two cases each weighing less than 32kgs and can be installed in minutes using standard vehicle roof bars. This makes it uniquely possible to fly the antenna internationally as checked baggage on a commercial aircraft and install it on a local rental car turning it instantly into a rapid reaction SNG vehicle for breaking news.

Every DA series antenna is offered with full three axis motorisation and when combined with our STC-100 antenna controller this can allow fully automatic pointing, acquisition, peaking and tracking on geostationary satellites.
