Fly-Drive Antennas
GigaSat fly-drive antennas are available in 1.2m and 1.8m.
They elegantly combine the versatility of a flyaway antenna with the operational convenience of a driveaway antenna.
Packed in 2 (FD-120), or 3 (FD-180), wheel-around carbon fibre cases the fly-drives are fully compliant with IATA recommendations for both weight and dimensions so can be transported without pre booking, as checked baggage on any commercial airline.
Once at site the antenna can be easily deployed by one person as a flyaway on high stability, adjustable legs, or assembled on the roof of any vehicle with standard roof bars and once installed, with the dish folded, the vehicle can be driven around just like any conventional driveaway.
The antennas can be very quickly reconfigured for operation in C (FD-180 only) X, Ku, DBS or Ka bands simply by clipping a new feed cartridge into position and in all bands comfortably meets or exceeds the published regulations of known commercial and military satellite authorities including Intelsat and Eutelsat, with sidelobe performance better than 29-25 log? and cross polar discrimination better than 35dB.
