The GigaSat FA-series of flyaway antennas are specifically designed to survive the tough environment of Satellite News Gathering, but their highly innovative packaging with robust, lightweight carbon fibre, construction has made them the preferred antenna for a whole variety of other applications. Today FA-series antennas are in service around the World for reliable transmission of sporting events, emergency data restoration and military/government communications.

Our flyaway antennas are available in a comprehensive range of sizes including 1.0m (FA-100), 1.2m (FA-120), 1.8m (FA-180), 2.4m (FA-240) and 3.7m (FA-370) and our innovative cartridge feed arrangement allows them all to be quickly configured for operation in C, X, Ku, DBS and Ka frequency bands.

Every antenna is offered with the option of full three axis motorisation and when combined with our STC-100 antenna

The smallest antennas in the range, FA-100 and FA-120 weigh only 24.8 and 29.4kgs respectively including motorisation. This comfortably meets latest airline health and safety requirements for checked baggage to weigh less than 32kgs and these antennas can break down further into three highly compact cases for transportation, each weighing less than 10kgs!

Even the mighty FA-370 antenna, the largest in our range, packs into only 5 easily manageable flight cases and can be deployed by two people with no tools in less than 30 minutes.
