MicroSat is a revolutionary new IP connectivity product for use on commercial and military X, Ku and Ku band satellite capacity.
The light weight genuine suitcase construction of MicroSat allows for transportation as hand baggage on commercial aircraft and provides the operational versatility of an Inmarsat terminal with considerably reduced cost per bit transmission and greatly increased bandwidth.
Applications include first to air newsgathering, secure government and military communications, intelligence missions and holeland security.
To ensure compatibility with existing hubs and infrastructure GigaSat has cooperated with the world's leading modem producers. MicroSat can be specified with integral Advantech, Hughes, I-Direct or Radyne core technology.
DVB-S2 with TDMA transmit and selectable spreading means MicroSat can be operated with lower EIRP and therefore higher efficiency than previous generations of equipment.
Depending on the chosen satellite, operational bandwidthcs in excess of 2Mbps can be expected.
