Redundancy Control
The RFS series is a versatile control and redundancy unit designed to work with both GigaSat equipment and most third party manufactured products.
The heart of the unit is an FPGA device which can be programmed to provide virtually any system configuration including 1:1, 1:N, Phase Combined, SCPC, MCPC, multi-band etc.
The user interface is a custom produced front panel providing full Mimic functionality with LED display and push button control of signal routing plus red/greed alarm indication of all sub systems.
The RFS series is available as a 19” rack mount panel for use in fixed earth station and vehicle applications where the coaxial IF and waveguide RF switches may be remotely installed. Alternatively for mobile flyaway configurations it can be supplied as a flight case mounted shelf unit with all coaxial and waveguide switching co-located in a tray behind the front panel.
All versions include universal AC power supplies and can be equipped with 10 to 30VDC power supplies when required.
